For many years, Marina Bluvband owned salon de Hairways - the hair salon inside the Pasadena Hilton complex. She developed a loyal clientele including many celebrity clients.
The secret to her success was that all her customers got celebrity treatment. "Every time they come in, we are doing our best," Bluvland said. "Every time is like the first time. It's a small shop, and every client is important to us."
A few years ago, she moved her hair salon to 99 South Oak Knoll Avenue in the Pasadena Playhouse District. It's called Upstairs Salon and it is on the corner of Oak Knoll and Green Street.
